Chocolate Torte

Ingredients

- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 8 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 8 inch spring-form pan.
- 2 mix lightly eggs and 1/2 cup of sugar - do not over beat - set aside.
- 3 combine the rest of the sugar and water in a pan. bring to a boil to melt sugar - lower heat.
- 4 whisk in vanilla and semi-sweet chocolate until melted. when chocolate is melted, add in unsweetened chocolate and butter - take off heat and whisk until melted.
- 5 cool chocolate mixture and whisk in eggs to combine.
- 6 pour mixture into spring-form pan. place pan in water bath.
- 7 cook for 35 minutes.
- 8 cool in pan for 10 minutes - then on rack to cool completely.
- 9 garnish and serve with - whipped cream and strawberries - enjoy!
