Fudge Pecan Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth.
  • 5 cool slightly.
  • 6 whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt.
  • 7 stir in pecans.
  • 8 pour filling into crust.
  • 9 bake until filling is set, about 40 minutes.
  • 10 cool slightly.
  • 11 serve warm or at room temperature.
