Fudge Pecan Pie

Ingredients

- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.
- 3 remove from heat.
- 4 add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth.
- 5 cool slightly.
- 6 whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt.
- 7 stir in pecans.
- 8 pour filling into crust.
- 9 bake until filling is set, about 40 minutes.
- 10 cool slightly.
- 11 serve warm or at room temperature.
