Chocolate Ice Box Cake

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 12 ladyfingers (split)
- 1 package sweet chocolate
- 1 1/2 tablespoons water
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup prepared whipped topping
- 1 egg , stiffly beaten
Recipe
- 1 line 8"x4" loaf pan with wax paper.
- 2 place 6 ladyfingers on bottom of pan.
- 3 set aside 6 for the top.
- 4 cut remaining ladyfingers in half, and place, cut side up, around the sides of pan.
- 5 melt chocolate in sauce pan over very low heat.
- 6 blend in water.
- 7 remove from heat and add egg yolk, beating vigorously until smooth.
- 8 blend in sugar.
- 9 cool.
- 10 fold in whipped topping and egg .
- 11 pour into pan and top with reserved ladyfingers.
- 12 chill overnight.
- 13 unmold and remove paper.
- 14 garnish with additional whipped topping if desired.
