Black And Brownies

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate

Recipe

  • 1 cream shortening and sugar in large bowl.
  • 2 add eggs one at a time.
  • 3 blend in other ingredients except chocolate.
  • 4 divide mixture in half.
  • 5 to one half of mixture add melted chocolate.
  • 6 grease a 9x13 pan .
  • 7 spread chocolate on bottom and vanilla on top.
  • 8 preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Chocolate Almond Ice Cream (dairy Free)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (i like dark cocoa power but you could use regular cocoa powder)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2-1 tablespoon slivered almonds, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 place banana, cocoa, honey and vanilla extract in a food processor and allow the motor to run until it’s smooth and creamy. stop and break up large clumps with a spatula as needed.
  • 2 top with toasted almonds, make sure they are cooled as you wouldn't want to melt your ice cream.
  • 3 **tips: can easily double.
  • 4 **if you are not going to eat right away put in freezer safe container with a lid being sure to stir every hour or so to keep it from getting too icy.

Chocolate Almond Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (plus a little more for optional garnish)
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups plain yogurt (i use dannon)

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium bowl; whisk everything together until the sugar and cocoa dissolve.
  • 2 turn the ice cream machine on and pour mixture into the freezer bowl.
  • 3 let mix until thickened, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 4 place mixture in a freezer container and freeze until firm enough to scoop.

Chocolate Almond Pie

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1 unbaked pie shell (9-inch)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 melt chocolate chips over low heat, watching carefully not to scorch.
  • 3 remove from heat and cool at room temperature for 5 minutes.

Recipe

  • 1 mix altogether and spoon mixture into a well greased 9 inch square pan.
  • 2 bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until cookie pulls away from the side of the pan. cool before cutting.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsel (1/2 of a 12 oz pkg)
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons almond flavored liqueur (amaretto)

Recipe

  • 1 in a heavy-gauge saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate morsels, cream, butter and salt, stirring until smooth; remove from heat. stir in almonds and liqueur; cool slightly.
  • 2 serve warm over ice cream.

  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 position oven rack in center of oven; preheat to 350°; butter and flour about 20 rectangular or boat-shaped financier molds (size of mold—should hold about 3 tablespoons water).

Double Cherry Streusel Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup dried tart cherry, snipped
  • 2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 2 (12 ounce) jars cherry preserves
  • 1 teaspoon lemon peel, finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate piece
  • 1 teaspoon shortening, melted

Recipe

  • 1 in a small saucepan bring water to boiling.
  • 2 remove from heat.
  • 3 add dried cherries and let stand for 10 minutes or until softened.
  • 4 drain and set aside.
  • 5 for crust, in a large mixing bowl combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.

Double Choc Chip Chili Cookies

  • 250 g butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup caster sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups plain flour

  • 400 g dark chocolate, chopped coarsely

  • 3 fresh red thai chile, chopped finely

  • 1 preheat oven to 180c, line oven trays with baking paper.
  • 2 make candied chillies (see below).
  • 3 beat butter, vanilla, sugars and egg in bowl until light and fluffy.
  • 4 stir in sifted flour, cocoa, and soda.

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 16 ounces cherry pie filling (sweet or sour, drained & chopped)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 butter and flour 2 x 9" round pan.
  • 3 combine sour cream, cocoa and water, blend well (set aside).
  • 4 mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt into bowl (set aside).
  • 5 in a large bowl beat butter and sugar on medium high speed for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (milk chocolate can also be used)
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 90 g butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 180°c.
  • 2 prepare a 12-hole muffin tin by lining them with patty cases.
  • 3 sift the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder into a large bowl.
  • 4 add the sugar and chocolate chips, mixing well. create a well in the centre of the mixture.
  • 5 combine the egg, sour cream, milk and melted butter into a small bowl and mix well.

Ingredients

  • 400 g slivered almonds
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 200 g dark chocolate wafers (baking wafers) or 200 g milk chocolate wafers (baking wafers) or 200 g chocolate wafers (baking wafers)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 180°c.
  • 2 place almond slivers on your work surface and cover with a damp towel.
  • 3 allow almonds to absorb moisture for a few minutes.
  • 4 prepare a baking sheet with bakers parchment paper (or aluminum foil).
  • 5 in a mixing bowl, combine the almonds and the powdered sugar.
  • 6 mix well.

Ingredients

  • 8 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (10 2/3 ounce) cup chopped almonds

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
  • 2 line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 3 beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
  • 4 gradually beat in the cocoa, confectioners sugar, salt, and vanilla.

  • 1 place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350ºf. lightly grease only the bottoms of 2 jumbo muffin cups; then rub a little of the butter around the rim of each cup. (this will help them to form a rounded top.) set the muffin pan aside.
  • 2 place the melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla, and egg in a small bowl and whisk to blend. set the mixture aside.
  • 3 place a large fine-mesh sieve over a medium bowl. place the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt in the sieve, and sift the ingredients into the bowl. toss in the chocolate chips. add the buttermilk mixture all at once and stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened. spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, dividing it evenly between them; they should be about three-quarters full. fill the empty muffin cups halfway with water to prevent them from scorching.
  • 4 bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center of one comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 5 remove the muffin pan from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes. carefully pour the water out of the empty muffin cups and let them cool, upright, on the wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving. server warm or at room temperature (they are best eaten the day they are baked but will keep for up to 1 day in a plastic bag at room temperature.).
  • 6 note: to make regular-sized muffins, grease the bottom and rims of 4 standard muffin cups. spoon the batter into the cups and bake as directed until a toothpick inserted in the center of one comes out clean, 15 to 18 minutes.
