- 6 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares
- 3 tablespoons butter, cubed (no substitutes)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- ice cream
Recipe
- 1 in a heavy saucepan over low heat of double boiler over simmering water, melt the chocolate. add butter; cook and stir until melted. add sugar alternately with milk, stirring constantly. cook for 15 minutes, stirring often. serve warm over ice cream. refrigerate leftovers.
