Chocolate Gingerbreads

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons minced crystallized ginger
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 large pinch clove
  • 1 large pinch cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dutch process cocoa
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • coarse sugar

Recipe

  • 1 beat sugar and butter until fluffy. add egg, molasses, ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves.
  • 2 whisk flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda. stir into the butter mixture.
  • 3 do no chill dough. drop by tablespoonfuls and sprinkle with coarse sugar and bake at 350 8 to 12 minutes.
