Chocolate Ginger Shortbread

Ingredients

- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup candied ginger, diced
Recipe
- 1 in a small bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch and salt.
- 2 in a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. add flour mixture, beating just until smooth.
- 3 stir in chocolate chips and candied ginger.
- 4 spread batter in prepared pan, smoothing top. bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes.
- 5 let cool completely. cut into 36 bars.
- 6 bars can be frozen.
