Chocolate Ginger Shortbread

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup candied ginger, diced

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch and salt.
  • 2 in a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. add flour mixture, beating just until smooth.
  • 3 stir in chocolate chips and candied ginger.
  • 4 spread batter in prepared pan, smoothing top. bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes.
  • 5 let cool completely. cut into 36 bars.
  • 6 bars can be frozen.
