Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Ingredients

- 4 ounces chocolate, squares
- 2 ounces unsalted butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted
Recipe
- 1 put chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl and place over a pan of simmering water, remembering not to let the water touch the bottom of the bowl.
- 2 stir occasionally till both are melted, add the egg and beat well.
- 3 remove the bowl from the saucepan and stir in the icing sugar, beat till smooth and glossy.
- 4 pour immediately over the cake for a smooth finish, or leave to cool for a thicker spreading/piping consistency.
