Deep Dish Double Chocolate Brownies

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees and also line 13 x 9 baking dish with parchment paper or grease with crisco.
  • 2 cream room temperature butter and sugar together until well blended.
  • 3 add vanilla and eggs two at a time and mix until well blended.
  • 4 sift together all dry ingredients (except chocolate chips) and add to wet mixture about 3/4 cup at a time.
  • 5 hand mix chocolate chips and pour into prepared baking dish.
  • 6 if you are using a glass or light colored baking dish bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. if you are using a darker colored dish drop the temperature down to 325 and bake for 50-55 minutes. test the middle with a tooth pick. brownies are done when the batter pulls away from the sides and toothpick comes out clean.
