English Toffee

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1/2 lb butter, heat until bubbly (on high)
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 lb almonds, blanched, skinned & halved
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 cook & stir until almonds start to turn brown. pour into buttered pan.
  • 2 let cool slightly then sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  • 3 let soften and then spread with spoon. cool and break into pieces.
