Fruit & Nut Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 2 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
  • 1/2 cup nuts, cut fine
  • 1/4 cup raisins or 1/4 cup fruit
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan. stir until dissolved. boil over medium heat to 238f or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. stir in the butter and chocolate. allow to cool. beat until creamy. add nuts fruit and vanilla. pour into 8x4 - inch greased loaf pan. when cooled, cut into squares.
