Fruit & Nut Fudge

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/8 cup butter
- 2 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
- 1/2 cup nuts, cut fine
- 1/4 cup raisins or 1/4 cup fruit
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan. stir until dissolved. boil over medium heat to 238f or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. stir in the butter and chocolate. allow to cool. beat until creamy. add nuts fruit and vanilla. pour into 8x4 - inch greased loaf pan. when cooled, cut into squares.
