Easy Citrus Fudge

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 2 teaspoons finely shredded orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • coarsely chopped macadamia nuts

Recipe

  • 1 line an 8 x 8 x 2 inch or 9x9x2 inch baking pan with foil, extending the foil over edges of pan.
  • 2 butter foil; set aside.
  • 3 in a 2-quart saucepan, combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk; cook and stir over low heat just until chocolate melts; remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in 1 cup nuts, orange peel, and vanilla.
  • 5 spread fudge evenly in the prepared pan.
  • 6 if desired, sprinkle with additional nuts and press them lightly into fudge.
  • 7 score fudge into squares while warm.
  • 8 cover and chill about 2 hours or until fudge is firm.
  • 9 when fudge is firm, use the edges of the foil to lift it from pan; cut into 64 squares.
  • 10 to store--layer fudge between sheets of waxed paper in an airtight container; cover.
  • 11 store at room temperature for up to 1 week.
