Blender Chocolate Pie

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust or 1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie pastry
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Recipe

  • 1 put all ingredients except egg whites and 3 tablespoons sugar into blender.
  • 2 blend for 30 seconds on high; scrape down any dry ingredients; blend 30 seconds more.
  • 3 pour into unbaked piecrust and bake at 375°f for 25-30 minutes or longer until set.
  • 4 make meringue with the three egg whites by beating on high speed with a hand mixer while gradually adding 3 tb sugar, until peaks form.
  • 5 spread over pie and bake until golden.
