Easy Tinted Angel Cake

Ingredients

• 1 (16 ounce) package angel food cake mix
• 3/4 teaspoon kool-aid, mix (tropical punch, pink lemonade, black cherry or your favorite flavor unsweetened soft drink mix)
• 4 cups powdered sugar
• 3 tablespoons hot water
• 1 tablespoon grenadine or 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice or 1/4 teaspoon kool-aid unsweetened flavored drink mix
• baking chocolate curls (to garnish)

Recipe

• 1 in a large mixing bowl, combine angel food cake mix and 3/4 teaspoon kool-aid mix. prepare cake mix according to package directions.
• 2 in a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar, hot water and grenadine syrup. if necessary, add additional water, 1 teaspoon at a time, to make icing of drizzling consistency. drizzle icing over cake. top with chocolate curls. makes 12 servings.
