Cointreau Blondies

Ingredients

- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup soft brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon orange peel, finely grated
- 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
- 400 g chocolate chips
- 300 g chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup cream
- 2 tablespoons cointreau liqueur
Recipe
- 1 grease and line a 32cm x 32cm baking tray with baking paper.
- 2 preheat oven to 180c (356 f).
- 3 melt half the chocolate and the butter, mix until smooth.
- 4 stir in the flour, sugar, orange rind, nuts and remaining chocolate buttons.
- 5 mix well and spread into baking tray.
- 6 bake for 15 go 20 minutes until firm to touch.
- 7 cool in baking tray.
- 8 icing: melt all ingredients and mix well together.
- 9 pour over cooled base while still in tin.
- 10 chill overnight and cut into triangles.
