Cointreau Blondies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup soft brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange peel, finely grated
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 400 g chocolate chips
  • 300 g chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons cointreau liqueur

Recipe

  • 1 grease and line a 32cm x 32cm baking tray with baking paper.
  • 2 preheat oven to 180c (356 f).
  • 3 melt half the chocolate and the butter, mix until smooth.
  • 4 stir in the flour, sugar, orange rind, nuts and remaining chocolate buttons.
  • 5 mix well and spread into baking tray.
  • 6 bake for 15 go 20 minutes until firm to touch.
  • 7 cool in baking tray.
  • 8 icing: melt all ingredients and mix well together.
  • 9 pour over cooled base while still in tin.
  • 10 chill overnight and cut into triangles.
