Green Tea Ice Cream

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 9 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons green tea powder (matcha)
Recipe
- 1 mix egg yolks, sugar& vanilla.
- 2 add cream and half and half.
- 3 heat over medium heat, stirring continually.
- 4 mixture will thicken to the consistency of egg nog.
- 5 do not boil.
- 6 it is done when the mix coats the back of a spoon.
- 7 remove from heat and cool.
- 8 stir in matcha.
- 9 don't worry if if there are small lumps of the tea, they will break up in the ice cream machine.
- 10 freeze in ice cream maker.
- 11 variation: add chocolate chunks.
