Chocolate Dream Mousse

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) can fat-free evaporated milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) package nestle toll house semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle gelatin over water in a medium saucepan; let stand for 1 minute.
  • 2 stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved; stir in sugar.
  • 3 stir in evaporated milk.
  • 4 continue stirring over medium heat until milk is steaming hot (do not boil).
  • 5 pour into blender container; add morsels and vanilla extract.
  • 6 cover; blend on low speed until smooth.
  • 7 pour into small mixer bowl.
  • 8 chill, stirring occasionally, until mixture mounds from a spoon.
  • 9 beat on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes or until thick and light in color.
  • 10 spoon into serving dishes; chill until ready to serve.
