Gooey Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 254 g butter or 254 g margarine
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3/4 flour, plus
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder, plus
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 175c or 350f. line 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper.
  • 2 melt butter and sugar in a heavy saucepan on very low heat.
  • 3 let the mixture slightly cool and transfer to a large bowl.
  • 4 add eggs gradually, mixing well.
  • 5 add vanilla extract.
  • 6 sift dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture, stirring gently and minimally.
  • 7 add chips and nuts, if using.
  • 8 pour into the pan and bake approximately 35 minutes. do not overbake!
  • 9 cool before cutting. turn onto a surface and peel parchment paper. cut into squares and enjoy!
