Habanero And Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup butter, softened
• 1/4 cup oil
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 orange, zest of
• 1 teaspoon habanero, finely diced (adjust to taste)
• 1 cup flour
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

• using the electric mixer, blend together the butter and the oil. add the sugars, egg, and vanilla and beat well. add the orange rind and habanero, stir.
• add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. stir until combined. mix in the chocolate chips.
• drop cookies on to prepared cookie sheet and bake in a 375 degree oven for 9-11 minutes. cool on a rack. enjoy!
