Glossy Chocolate Frosting

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar substitute, such as splenda
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, combine the sugar, splenda, cocoa and cornstarch. add water and stir until smooth.
  • 2 bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened.
  • 3 remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla until smooth.
  • 4 spread over cupcakes or cake while frosting is still warm.
