Cointreau Parfait Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (85 g) package orange jell-o
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/3 cup cointreau liqueur
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 9 inches graham cracker crust
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream (to garnish)
  • chocolate shavings (to garnish)
  • toasted almond (to garnish)

Recipe

  • 1 dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  • 2 add cointreau.
  • 3 add ice cream by spoonfuls, stirring until melted.
  • 4 chill until thickened but not set.
  • 5 pour into pie shell and chill again until set.
  • 6 garnish thickly with whipping cream, chocolate and almonds.
