Easy Turtle Squares

Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 (12 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f and spray a 13x9 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- 2 combine cake mix, butter, and milk in a large bowl.
- 3 press 1/2 of this mixture in the bottom of the prepared pan.
- 4 bake 7-8 minutes, or until begins to form crust.
- 5 carefully remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips and 1/2 of the pecans over the crust.
- 6 drizzle the caramel topping over the chips and pecans.
- 7 drop spoonfuls of the remaining cake batter over the caramel mixture, and then sprinkle with remaining pecans.
- 8 return pan to the oven and bake 18-20 minutes, or until top springs back when lightly touched. (caramel center will be soft).
- 9 cool completely on wire rack.
- 10 cut into squares and enjoy!
