Gingersnaps With Chocolate Chips

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 cream together the butter and sugar.
  • 2 stir in molasses and egg.
  • 3 add 1 cup of the flour, the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and ground gloves and stir to combine.
  • 4 add remaining flour 1 cup at a time.
  • 5 chill dough in freezer for only 15 minutes.
  • 6 shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
  • 7 bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 for 10 minutes.
  • 8 when cookies are cool, melt some chocolate chips and drizzle over top of each cookie.
  • 9 when chocolate is set, store cookies in air tight container.
