Gingersnaps With Chocolate Chips

Ingredients

- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 cream together the butter and sugar.
- 2 stir in molasses and egg.
- 3 add 1 cup of the flour, the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and ground gloves and stir to combine.
- 4 add remaining flour 1 cup at a time.
- 5 chill dough in freezer for only 15 minutes.
- 6 shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
- 7 bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 for 10 minutes.
- 8 when cookies are cool, melt some chocolate chips and drizzle over top of each cookie.
- 9 when chocolate is set, store cookies in air tight container.
