Florentine Slice

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn flakes
  • 3/4 cup sultana
  • 100 g glace cherries, chopped
  • 125 g glace ginger, chopped
  • 3/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 60 g chocolate, melted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 180 c, grease and line 26 x 16 cms slice pan with baking paper.
  • 2 combine all ingredients except chocolate, mix well.
  • 3 press into pan, smooth surface.
  • 4 bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 5 cool in pan for 5 minutes then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
  • 6 cut into 5 cm pieces, drizzle with melted chocolate, let set.
