Double Fudge Cream Cheese Brownie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate squares, chopped into pieces (2oz each)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup nestle toll house semisweet chocolate morsel
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f grease 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • 2 for the brownies: microwave batter and baking squares in large, microwave-safe bowl on high power for 1 minute; stir. microwave at additional 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth, stir in sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder, salt and vanilla. gently stir in morsels. spread half of the batter into prepared pan.
  • 3 for the filling: beat sugar, egg, cream cheese, butter, flour and vanilla in small bowl until creamy. spread over brownie batter.
  • 4 spoon remaining batter over cream cheese mixture.
  • 5 bake for 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from side of pan. cool completely in pan on wire rack; cut into bars. store in refrigerator.
