Fannie Farmer Chocolate Fudge

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups light cream
  • 4 ounces chocolate
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a pan 8 x 8-inch, add sugar, cream and chocolate, stir gently until chocolate melts.
  • 2 boil without stirring to 238 degrees or until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 let stand until cool and add flavoring.
  • 5 beat with a wooden spoon.
  • 6 pour 3/4-inch thick into a buttered pan and mark in squares.
  • 7 makes about 24 pieces.
