Decadent Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 3 cups milk (as much as you want)

Recipe

  • 1 put a pot/pan/whatever on low heat.
  • 2 pour in sugar and allow to caramelise.
  • 3 as this is happening, add milk little by little to the areas where the sugar is almost brown.
  • 4 keep doing this until all the sugar is covered, no stirring yet.
  • 5 turn the heat up and grab a whisk.
  • 6 whisk the mixture as it bubbles up for 30 seconds.
  • 7 turn the heat down, add more milk, add the cocoa at once.
  • 8 turn the heat up and whisk until cocoa is well blended inches.
  • 9 add the maple syrup and whisk.
  • 10 add milk again and turn down the heat.
  • 11 serve this in a mug topped with whipped cream/ marshmallows or whatever you please.
