Chocolate Syrup Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 16 ounces chocolate syrup
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons milk (may need to add more)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- nuts (optional)
Recipe
- 1 pre-heat oven to 350.
- 2 grease a 13x9 pan.
- 3 for the bars: beat together sugar and softened butter until creamy.
- 4 add vanilla, eggs and chocolate syrup.
- 5 blend well.
- 6 lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
- 7 stir into chocolate mixture and mix well.
- 8 pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- 9 cool.
- 10 for the frosting: melt butter in a saucepan.
- 11 blend in cocoa and heat just until mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly.
- 12 cool.
- 13 blend in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- 14 you may need to add additional milk if frosting is too dry.
- 15 stir in nuts, if you are using them.
- 16 spread carefully over brownies.
- 17 let sit for a bit to firm up frosting.
- 18 enjoy!
