Classic Blondies

Total Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 16 ounces chocolate, baking bars (broken into 1-inch pieces)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 melt chocolate and butter in double boiler over hot water.
  • 2 stir mixture occasionally until smooth.
  • 3 beat eggs until foamy; then add sugar, vanilla and chocolate mixture (slowly).
  • 4 fold in flour, salt, and chocolate chips (if using) until well combined.
  • 5 spoon mixture into a 9" square baking pan with the bottom lined and buttered with parchment paper.
  • 6 bake 25 minutes at 350°.
