French Cream Mint Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 16 ounces chocolate syrup
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2 -3 drops good green food coloring
- 1/2 cup butter
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 to make the brownies: cream the sugar and butter together in a mixing bowl.
- 2 add in the eggs, chocolate syrup, flour, and baking powder; stir to blend.
- 3 spoon/pour mixture in a greased 15x10 jelly roll pan.
- 4 bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
- 5 chill in the refrigerator while making the filling.
- 6 to make the filling: cream the butter and powdered sugar together in a mixing bowl.
- 7 add in the milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring; stir to blend.
- 8 spread evenly over the brownie crust; refrigerate until firm.
- 9 to make the frosting: melt the butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat; stir constantly.
- 10 pour evenly over filling.
- 11 chill slightly; cut into squares.
- 12 return to refrigerator and chill until firm.
