Chocolate Mousse Truffles

Total Time: 4 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lb dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/4 ounce pure vanilla extract
  • cocoa powder

Recipe

  • 1 place cream and butter in saucepan and bring to rolling boil. remove from heat and let cool.
  • 2 melt chocolate in double boiler.
  • 3 stir melted chocolate into cream. mix with beater until smooth.
  • 4 add vanilla and mix again until smooth.
  • 5 refrigerate until mixture is solid enough to scoop, at least 4 hours.
  • 6 scoop out small balls and roll in cocoa powder.
  • 7 place in candy cups to serve.
  • 8 keep refrigerated.
