Candy Cane Fudge

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 (225 g) packages chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup finely crushed candy cane
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 drops food coloring

Recipe

  • 1 combine the milk and chocolate in a saucepan over medium heat, and stir until all is smooth and melted.
  • 2 stir in candy canes and stir well to combine (do not worry if they dissolve - they will turn your fudge a pretty pink colour!).
  • 3 stir in peppermint extract.
  • 4 pour fudge into a parchment paper-lined 8"x8" pan.
  • 5 drop food colouring randomly over surface of hot fudge, and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  • 6 put fudge in the refrigerator to set, about 1-2 hours.
  • 7 cut into pieces once set.
  • 8 enjoy!
