Chocolate Nut Candy Bar Brittle

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 12 (1 1/16 ounce) candy bars (your choice)
  • 3 cups chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 combine the sugar,butter and the water in a dutch oven.
  • 2 cook on low heat until mixture reaches hard crack stage (300).
  • 3 remove mixture from heat.
  • 4 right away,pour into 2 greased 12" pizza pans.
  • 5 spread mixture to al edges of pans.
  • 6 melt the chocolate bars in top of double broiler,over hot water.
  • 7 when melted,pour evenly over butter mixture.
  • 8 sprinkle the pecans over chocolate layer.
  • 9 press pecans into the chocolate mixture.
  • 10 let cool to firm,before breaking into pieces.
