Fudge Brownies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips or 12 ounces chocolate, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 lightly butter a 9x13" brownie pan.
  • 3 melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler or a bowl set over simmering water. set aside.
  • 4 sift together the flour and salt and set aside.
  • 5 in a medium bowl using a whisk or an electric mixer, whip the eggs and sugar until thick and pale yellow.
  • 6 add the chocolate, then fold in sifted ingredients.
  • 7 fold in nuts, if using.
  • 8 transfer to brownie pan and bake for 30 minutes, until the top looks shiny and set.
  • 9 cool for 20 minutes before cutting.
  • 10 marble brownies: in a medium bowl beat until smooth 8 oz package of cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and one egg.
  • 11 swirl this mixture on top of the brownie batter before baking.
