Chocolate Drink (pre 1940)

Ingredients

• Servings: 1
• 1/2 chocolate square (semi-sweet)
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon hot water
• 1 cup milk (scalded)
• 1/8 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

• 1 break chocolate into pieces.
• 2 add hot water.
• 3 cook until smooth.
• 4 add sugar, stirr until dissolved.
• 5 add 1 cup scalded milk.
• 6 flavor with vanilla, (to taste).
• 7 let cook about 5 minutes in a double boiler.
• 8 may be served with whipped cream.
